GD Print produces large format event posters from our in-house production facility in New Milton, Hampshire. With more than 40 years of commercial printing experience, we can help with both smaller event requirements and larger-scale poster campaigns.

1. A2, A1 and A0 Event Posters
Choose from three popular large format sizes, with both portrait and landscape orientation available:
A2 – 420 × 594mm - A practical large-format option for event advertising, promotional displays and notices.
A1 – 594 × 841mm - A larger format designed to attract attention from further away and ideal for busy venues and advertising locations.
A0 – 841 × 1189mm - Our largest standard event poster size, providing maximum impact for large-scale event promotion.
2. What Bleed Size Do I Need to Include?
Please include a 5mm bleed on all sides of your design to allow for slight movement during the cutting process and ensure your finished poster has no unwanted white edges. For example:
A2: 420 × 594mm finished size → 430 × 604mm with 5mm bleed
A1: 594 × 841mm finished size → 604 × 851mm with 5mm bleed
A0: 841 × 1189mm finished size → 851 × 1199mm with 5mm bleed
Keep all important text, logos and other essential elements safely inside the finished size, away from the trim edge.
3. Free Artwork Checks
You don’t need to be a printing expert to order from GD Print. We provide free artwork preflight checks before your order goes into production. We’ll check your artwork for common print issues such as missing bleed and crop marks and, where possible, make minor adjustments. If we identify an issue that could affect the finished result, we’ll contact you before printing.
4. Can I Upload or Design in Portrait and Landscape?
Yes, you can. If you upload a portrait or landscape file, we’ll print it in the same orientation as your uploaded artwork. If you’re designing your poster in our Design Studio, you can easily switch between portrait and landscape orientation using the page orientation option in the top bar.
5. Water Resistant, Not Waterproof
Please note that these posters are water resistant rather than waterproof. They are suitable where occasional exposure to moisture is expected, but for applications involving prolonged or heavy exposure to rain, we recommend considering a more suitable waterproof or synthetic printing solution.
6. Blueback 160gsm Paper
Printed on 160gsm uncoated matt blueback paper, these posters are particularly useful for large-scale advertising where you need to produce a high volume of posters cost-effectively. The blue backing helps prevent the surface underneath from showing through and also makes the paper suitable for pasting onto billboards and many other surfaces. Blueback paper also provides a degree of water resistance, making these posters useful for outdoor advertising. However, they are not fully waterproof, so for prolonged outdoor exposure we recommend displaying them in a suitable frame or other form of protection.
7. Installation Available on Request
