You could say that GD Print got its start in the family garage in Dunstable when Gary Dobbs was just 14. He and his father spent weekends printing company newsletters and stationery, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. By sixteen, Gary had already decided on his career path, attending Dunstable College where he graduated with honours and a degree in printing. After completing a two-year apprenticeship in London, Gary took the leap and set up his own printing company at just 20 years old. With his wife, Sandra, supporting him every step of the way, Gary steadily grew the business by providing high-quality printing services with a personal touch to businesses and communities across the UK. More than four decades later, GD Print continues as a close-knit, family-run business, now proudly rooted in Hampshire and dedicated to serving both local and national clients with the same values it was built on. |  Gary Dobbs, owner of GD Print, pictured with his brother Paul and father Keith in 2010. The GD Print History
GD Print first began in Luton before moving to Bournemouth, and we are now proudly based in New Milton. Over the past 40+ years, we’ve worked with businesses of all sizes—including well-known names like the BBC, Channel 4, and Children in Need—helping them bring their ideas to life with high-quality printed materials. As a long-standing print company, we’ve produced a wide variety of products—from car decal stickers and bespoke booklets to posters, banners, and more. For over 25 years, we’ve served businesses in New Milton, becoming a trusted part of the local community, known for our attention to detail, reliability, and personalised service. We’ve always believed in giving back, supporting charitable initiatives and community projects, and we’re proud to continue our work with the Woodland Trust, combining our passion for print with a commitment to making a positive impact. |  Rosalind Dobbs, Gary's mother, helped build the company for thirty years before passing away in 2016.She is greatly missed. |

A part of the local community
Gary was a member of the Dunstable Round Table and served as the Chairman from 1997 - 1998. Following in his father's footsteps, Craig has also serves his community in the New Milton Roundtable. He served as Chairman of the New Milton Roundtable and currently serves as Area Chairman. As a part of the Round Table, both Gary and Craig helped raise money for civil projects and local charitable causes. Gary, owner of GD Print, his brother Paul and best friend, Fitzroy, as children. Gary and Fitzroy have been best friends since they were seven.
